As beautiful as ever
Cleared out of customs today to leave tomorrow for another island and then into Grenada.
Cleared customs in Union Island at Clifton over at the airport. Great day so far and we are just sitting down to lobster dinner at Vanessa’s over in Chatham Bay one of our favorite spots. Normally we are one of 3 boats here but right now there are 20 boats on anchor and it’s gusting to 30 miles an hour with a pretty good surge making landing the dingy on the beach a little tricky while avoiding the rocks, but we all survived.
Over in Clifton when we cleared in we also found a couple of taters as we used all that we had previously purchased. We ran around town for a couple hours and even bought 20 gallons of water so that the water maker won’t have to be running 24×7 to keep us clean.
As we were getting set to dingy back to the boat it started to rain a bit. With rain comes wind with wind and boats on anchor in close proximities things happen. While we were out in town a local 60’+ charter boat came in and picked up their ball pretty close to us. The wind from the rain had them shift into us. We scrambled aboard and grabbed fenders to put between the boats and I think we were successful. Christine says we touched but I couldnt find a mark. We high tailed it out of there right away.
