While cruising ashore we ran into Charlie Foxtrot the man who knows everything and how to get it done. We owed him for the mooring ball and he is the man to see about clearing out of customs as well. I went back to the boat to get the boat paperwork so that we could check out. Charlie ran me to the airport and as I filled out the clearance form I realized that I didnt have our passports so we’d have to go back to the boat before doing the immigration piece.
Christine and Wayne had gone back to the boat so I had to yell and wave like a mad man to get their attention. Some how Christine heard me yell passports so Wayne brought me those in the dingy and a fresh cold beer.
Back to immigration we went to say the DMV lines in the states move slowly is an understatement at immigration. Our Man Charlie knows the process well and announces that he is a broker and immediately push to the front of the line and the lady stamped the passports and we were done.
We also stopped at a wholesale liquor store so I stocked up and found some soy sauce for our tuna. A great day all for only a small convieince charge.
Charlie recommended Fritz for dinner so that’s we’re we went. It was tasty. Turns out they are all the same family. And that was a pretty good day for them. Especially after we got the bill. Oh well we have our stories to tell.
